Neighbor & Self

For years, I chased freedom for what it could give me.

More control. More experiences. More ownership over my time and my future.

But externally free did not mean internally free.

I was still controlled by addiction, destructive patterns, restless ambition, and the constant pursuit of something that would finally make life feel complete.

When I gave my life to Christ, He freed me in the places I could not free myself.

He gave me sobriety, peace, purpose, and a reason to use my life for more than my own desires. I stopped asking only what freedom could give me and began asking what I could give through it.

That was when true autonomy began.

As my desires became more aligned with His, many of the things I had prayed for began to take shape—the ability to direct more of my time, experience His creation, pursue meaningful work, and share what I see with others.

I believe God gives good things to His children when those desires align with His will.

But the greatest gift was not simply receiving more freedom.

It was finally knowing what that freedom was for.

Neighbor & Self is about that transformation—faith, sobriety, discipline, service, speech, and the internal freedom required to live fully for Christ.

Because true autonomy is not merely the ability to go anywhere and do anything.

It is being free from what once controlled you, available for wherever God leads you, and equipped to give your life to what He asks of you.
